Science Shows for Schools and Festivals

Loud, fun, real science, live in your school hall or festival tent. Mark has spent more than ten years touring his award-winning Spectacular Science show to theatres across the country, and now brings it, and his talks on space and sleep, to schools, science festivals, family festivals and dark sky events.

Every show is pitched precisely for the audience in the room, from a single class of five-year-olds to a festival crowd of grown-ups.

School Visits

Engaging shows that bring science to life.

Scientific equipment and diagrams displayed on a table at a museum.

Science and Family Festivals

Award-winning science shows for families and grown-ups.

People use telescopes to stargaze at an observatory under the Milky Way.

Dark Sky Events

Space talks and guided stargazing.

For Schools…

Spectacular Science

Primary, KS1–KS2

The award-winning show, made for schools. Fire tornadoes, elephant’s toothpaste, exploding hydrogen balloons and giant vortex rings, with plenty of audience participation. Covers materials, forces, states of matter and working scientifically.

Space : The Ultimate adventure

Primary and secondary, KS2–KS4

From our Moon to the edge of the observable universe with the presenter of Stargazing Live. Big questions for primary; real physics and new discoveries for secondary. Covers Earth and space, light and gravity.

The Science of Sleep

Secondary, KS3–KS5

Mark once lectured for almost six days on barely any sleep. What sleep does for memory, mood and learning, and why teenage body clocks run late. Ideal for biology and PSHE, and also available for staff and parent evenings.

Each session runs 45–60 minutes.

Testimonials

This section briefly client feedback and experiences.

Since Mark visited our school there has been a real buzz about science among pupils (and teachers)

John

Primary School Teacher, Dorset

Having Mark guide us around the night sky with a laser pointer was a really magical experience

Caroline and David (aged 10)

We had such fun at Mark’s talk about space. He is wonderful at simplifying the complicated bits without talking down to us. Loved it
